It's hard to believe that Rosh Hashanah is here!  We hope that you take this time to enjoy some apples and honey along with round raisin challah to start the year off sweet.
Let's make it even sweeter!  Let's see if you can answer the following questions.

2. Describe a miracle regarding the Akeidah.
3.  What is the brand name of the pretzels we had on Tuesday and more importantly,  how do we say pretzel in Hebrew?
4.  Name a Jewish Marine that will not be coming home to celebrating Rosh Hashanah with his familly. (hint...we did a service mitzvah project last year)
5. What is the upcoming numerical Jewish year?  Hint...it's not 2015.
6.  In class, we discussed making one change for the new year....What's your change???

WTG! Madison..you were not in Kitah Gimel last year so you would not know the answer to #4. That is my youngest son, Nate (age 21). He is a US Marine, rank: Lance Corporal. Morah Ali had him in class when he was your age! Last year Kitah Gimel made 'care packages' for him and another Army officer (age 29) in Afghanistan named Brock. Hopefully one of them will visit our class sometime and thank everyone in person. Thanks to all of the friends in Kitah Daled who make the class so rewarding, Our teachers are wonderful and it will be a great year!

In the S'tav, I like the Hag, Yom Kippur....because it falls on my Hebrew birthday. The adults Ta'anit, but I don't yet because I'm hungry and I'm only 9 1/2 years old. This is going to be a good Shanah, 5775. I hope it snows in the Choref so I can build a snowman. I like Aviv colors. And I can't wait to go to camp in the Kayeetz!
